Are you looking for a new challenge in a vibrant, dynamic and diverse environment? The University of East London is seeking an individual with an in-depth knowledge and experience of student immigration and compliance.

As an International student adviser, you will provide high quality immigration advice services to applicants, current students, recent graduates and their dependants, in accordance with the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC) Code of Standards and the UK Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA)/Association of International Student Advisers (AISA) Code of Ethics. Undertake specialist immigration casework with international students using knowledge of the relevant Immigration Rules and to prepare and deliver a programme of workshops and stop press briefings relevant to the needs of students and staff at UEL.

To succeed in the role, you will have a degree, and it would be desirable if you have a postgraduate degree and/or appropriate professional qualification, e.g. PG Certificate International Student Advice and Support. You will be able to provide guidance to EU, EEA and Swiss nationals around their residency rights and requirements during the process of leaving the EU and ability to understand, summarise and convey complex information that needs careful explanation or interpretation.
