About the School / Service
Student Services are responsible for nurturing wellness, supporting individual needs, helping students in crisis, improving retention, and enabling positive experiences. Working in partnership across academic schools and professional services, our teams seek to provide a network of support throughout the student journey and aim to optimise student success.
About the Job
Based within the Disability & Dyslexia Team in Student Services, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of advice and guidance to students, professional services and academic colleagues. You will be expected to lead on the design, production, and delivery of in person, online and eLearning self-paced modules focused on disability inclusion, inclusive practice and awareness raising to reduce the barriers for our disabled students.
About you
You’ll bring substantial experience supporting adults with disabilities and dyslexia, ideally within Higher or Further Education or similarly complex organisations. You have a strong track record of delivering effective training strategies that promote best practice and legal compliance, and you're confident in advising students on learning support and funding options such as the Disabled Students’ Allowances. Your understanding of the Equalities Act and the communication and learning needs of disabled students ensures your work is both inclusive and impactful.
A skilled communicator with the ability to tailor your message to diverse audiences, you’ll thrive in collaborative environments, working effectively across teams and with external stakeholders. You’ll also be highly organised and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
