About Us

The Royal Docks School of Business & Law (RDSBL) is a dynamic academic community committed to delivering a transformational educational experience for our students. We are shaping graduates of the future through high-quality teaching, inclusive learning, impactful research, and strong industry engagement.

Located in the fast-growing and diverse East London and Docklands area, we are part of a community that benefits from significant regeneration and inward investment. As one of the University’s most ambitious schools, we are dedicated to enhancing academic quality, student outcomes, and global reputation.

About the Role

RDSBL is accelerating its international quality agenda and seeking an experienced Accreditation Manager to lead and deliver our accreditation ambitions across key external frameworks, including AACSB, EFMD, AMBA and PRME.

You will design, own and deliver the school’s accreditation roadmap, develop and steer Assurance of Learning (AoL), curate and interpret datasets, coordinate submissions and panel visits, and embed continuous improvement that enhances student performance, academic rigour, employer impact and school reputation.

This is a high-profile role that sits at the centre of our strategic development, working closely with senior leaders, academic colleagues and collaborative partners to elevate our teaching, research, employability and quality standards.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Building and implementing an accreditation plan aligned with RDSBL priorities
  • Leading self-evaluation writing, evidence gathering and peer-review visit readiness
  • Operating a School-wide AoL system – goals, measures, sampling, rubric quality, reporting and closing the loop
  • Managing datasets covering faculty qualifications, sufficiency, intellectual contributions and standards-related evidence
  • Aligning school quality systems with institutional requirements, tracking improvements and identifying risks
  • Upskilling colleagues and providing expert advice to senior leadership on accreditation standards and developments
  • Establishing governance structures, such as accreditation and AoL working groups
  • Representing RDSBL externally and supporting transnational academic partners in meeting accreditation expectations
  • This is a strategic, collaborative and outcomes-focused role, with genuine opportunity to shape the school’s national and international standing.

About You – What You’ll Need to Thrive

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Experience of working at a senior level within higher education or an equivalent academic setting
  • Strong data management, data interpretation and reporting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including report drafting
  • Credibility and confidence when advising, influencing and negotiating with senior stakeholders
  • The ability to plan, deliver and quality-assure complex projects to tight timelines
  • High levels of accuracy, meticulous attention to detail and a systematic working style
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with resilience under pressure
  • Experience with business school accreditation (e.g. AACSB, EFMD, AMBA, PRME) is highly welcomed, though strong candidates with relevant transferable experience will also be considered.

You will thrive in this role if you are:

  • Results-focused and intellectually curious
  • Comfortable working autonomously and managing competing priorities
  • Skilled at leading improvement programmes and collaborating across academic and professional teams
  • Committed to equality, inclusion and widening participation
