About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Admissions Officer to join our busy team. You will be responsible for processing a high volume of applications within strict deadlines and supporting our Marketing and Recruitment teams in achieving the university’s admissions targets.

As an Admissions Officer, you will:

  • Process undergraduate, postgraduate (taught & research), Initial Teacher Training, and international applications, ensuring a seamless experience for applicants.
  • Assess applications and make decisions in line with university criteria, liaising with academic departments where necessary.
  • Manage a designated School’s applications, providing guidance on processes and systems.
  • Issue Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) for international applicants and ensure compliance with Home Office regulations.
  • Advise on UKCISA fee status assessments for applicants and internal stakeholders.
  • Support Open Days, Clearing, and other recruitment events, helping prospective students navigate the admissions process.
  • Contribute to system improvements, training sessions, and compliance with external regulatory bodies (UCAS, HESA, QAA).

About You

We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a keen eye for detail. You should be:

  • Educated to A-level standard (a degree is desirable).
  • Experienced in customer service or student administration.
  • Proficient in using IT systems, including MS Office (Excel, databases, etc.).
  • Organised and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A strong communicator, with the ability to explain procedures and regulations clearly.
  • A proactive team player, who works collaboratively and supports others.
  • Committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion in a multicultural environment.

This role may require occasional evening or weekend work during peak periods and travel between university sites.
